Terms of Service
Last updated 21 October 2026
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and FinLens Financial Technology Private Limited ("FinLens", "we"), a company registered in India (CIN U69200BR2026PTC088990) with its registered office at Shankar Sadan Apartment, Flat No. G3, Patliputra, Phulwari, Patna 800013, Bihar, India, which operates finlens.in. By creating an account, signing in, or using FinLens's messages on WhatsApp, you accept them and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
The service
FinLens is a personal finance portal, with reminders and notices on WhatsApp and by e-mail. It reads the card and bank statements, bills, transaction alerts and investment statements that you connect or upload, and shows your spending, dues, balances and investments in one place. It can remind you of bills and answer questions about your own records.
Access is by invitation. There is no charge for the service at present. If that changes, we will tell you before any charge applies, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Family. A member may add people to a family: a member who already uses FinLens, who joins only by accepting an invitation and chooses what the family sees, area by area; or a profile the member creates for someone who does not use FinLens. A profile you create is your data: you are responsible for having that person's agreement to keep their statements and papers here, you can delete the profile and everything in it at any time, and it becomes their own account, under their control, if they later sign in with that number.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law. FinLens is made for people in India and access to it is limited to India. You may use FinLens only for your own finances, or for finances you are authorised to manage.
Your account
- You sign in with your mobile number, a 6-digit PIN and a one-time code. Keep the PIN and the codes to yourself. We will never ask you for them.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- Repeated wrong PINs or codes block sign-in until the administrator lifts the block.
Gmail and uploaded files
Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect it, you confirm the mailbox is yours. FinLens asks Google for read-only access, reads only messages from banks, card issuers and investment platforms, and never sends, deletes or changes your mail. The Privacy Policy says exactly what is read and kept. You can disconnect Gmail at any time by removing FinLens's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
When you upload a file, you confirm you have the right to share it. Your records and files remain yours. You give FinLens permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you.
Not financial advice
FinLens shows and organises information. It is not a bank, a broker, an investment adviser, a tax adviser or a credit bureau, and it is not registered as one. Nothing in the portal or in the assistant's answers is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. FinLens never moves money and never makes payments for you. Decisions about your money are yours.
Accuracy
Figures come from your own mail and documents, read by automated rules. A statement can be misread, arrive late or be missing, and market prices can be delayed. Check amounts and due dates against the bank's or issuer's own statement before you act. A reminder is a convenience: a reminder that does not arrive does not change when a bill is due.
AI features
Answers to your questions in Ask FinLens use an AI model unless you turn that permission off in Profile → Privacy & Security. A file the rules cannot read is read once by an AI model, for every member. AI answers and readings can be wrong. The Privacy Policy says what a model receives.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use another person's mailbox, documents or account without their authority;
- try to get into data that is not yours, or test or get around the service's security;
- upload malware, or use the service to break any law;
- copy, resell or overload the service, or reach it by automated means we have not agreed to.
Other services
FinLens depends on Google (Gmail access), WhatsApp, a hosting provider and an AI provider (reading an uploaded file the rules cannot read). Your use of Google's and WhatsApp's services is under their own terms, and FinLens is not responsible for the availability of any of these providers.
Ending your use
You can stop at any time and erase your account and its data in Profile → Privacy & Security. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if security requires it, or if the service is closed; where we can, we will tell you first so you can export your data.
No warranty and limits of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that every document will be read correctly.
To the extent the law allows, FinLens is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from decisions made using the service, including late fees, interest, penalties or investment losses. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
