How FinLens works
No bank passwords and no screen scraping: just the statements and alerts that already reach your inbox.
Ask for your invitation
Request one with your name, mobile number and e-mail address. A person reviews it; once it is accepted, you sign up with that number, a code sent to your e-mail and a 6-digit PIN.
Bring in your records
Connect Gmail with read-only access, or upload statements, exports and papers yourself. Most members do both.
Every statement is checked
Fixed rules read each file and check its rows against the printed totals. A file they cannot read is read once with AI help, names and numbers hidden, and imported only if the same checks pass.
See the whole picture
Balances, card dues, spending, investments and net worth on one dashboard, with reminders before a bill is due.
Your financial data deserves the highest level of care
FinLens is built with the best and latest technology and designed with privacy and security in mind. It keeps as little as it can and locks what it keeps. Made in India, for India. Built around your financial privacy.
Your financial data is protected using strong encryption in transit and at rest.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Every connection is encrypted, and the portal seals each request and reply again with AES-256 under a key only your browser and the server share. Everything we store is encrypted with AES-256, and every file is kept encrypted, never as a plain file.
Your own key for what matters most
Uploaded files, identity numbers and the passwords of locked statements are encrypted under a key that belongs to your account alone. Accounts and cards are saved with only the last 4 digits of their numbers.
A PIN, then a code or one tap
You sign in with a 6-digit PIN, then a one-time code to your e-mail or It's Me on WhatsApp. The PIN and the codes are stored only as hashes, and repeated wrong tries block the account.
A repository nobody else can open
Documents and notes in the Personal Repository are locked in your browser with your passphrase before they are sent. Nobody can open them but you, including us.
Made in India, for India
Built for India's banks, cards, funds and the NPS, and available in India only: a request from outside India is refused before it reaches the sign-in, the app or your data.
Nothing watches you
No advertising, no analytics scripts, no trackers and nothing loaded from another site. No tracking cookies: the only cookies keep you signed in, or keep your place while you ask for an invitation.
You stay in control
Each of these is open to you at any time, and a complaint is one e-mail away. The Privacy Policy says in plain words what is collected, who processes it and how long it is kept.
- Download your data as one file
- Correct your details from your profile
- Turn any permission off; turning off stored numbers deletes them
- Delete any file, and what it imported
- Erase your whole account
- Complain to us at privacy@finlens.in
Built around India's financial ecosystem
Each of these has a reader of its own, built and tested on real statements from Indian banks, card issuers, fund platforms and the NPS. Anything else is read with AI help, with names and numbers hidden, and imported only when its figures add up.

What is FinLens?
FinLens is a personal finance app for people in India. It reads the statements, alerts and records your bank, card issuer, fund platform and others already send you, and shows your accounts, cards, bills, spending, investments, credit score and papers in one private dashboard.
Is FinLens safe to use?
FinLens is built so that your money and your data stay yours. It never asks for your net banking password and cannot move money; everything it stores is encrypted with AES-256, every file included; your accounts and cards are saved with only the last 4 digits of their numbers; you sign in with your PIN and then a one-time code or one tap on WhatsApp; and you can download your data or erase your account at any time. The Security page lists every control.
Is FinLens made in India?
Yes. FinLens is built and run in India by FinLens Financial Technology Private Limited, for people who bank, borrow and invest in India. It reads the statement formats of Indian banks, card issuers, fund platforms and the NPS, works in rupees, and access to it is limited to India.
How do I join?
FinLens is open by invitation. Request an invitation with your name, the mobile number you will sign in with and your e-mail address; a code confirms the address, one tap on a WhatsApp message confirms the number, and then you send the request, which a person reviews. Once it is accepted you hear by e-mail and WhatsApp, and you sign up with that number, a code sent to your e-mail address and a 6-digit PIN you choose.
Is FinLens free?
There is no charge for FinLens today. It has three plans, Basic, Plus and Pro, and nothing is enforced or charged at present. At present every new member can upgrade to the Pro plan free of charge for a year, from Plan & Billing in the app. If that changes, members are told before any charge applies, and nothing is charged without their agreement.
Can my family see my insurance policies and papers?
Only if you share them. Under What my family can see each member switches on the areas the family may see, Insurance among them; the family then sees every policy with its insurer, cover, the people it covers, the nominees and the premium dates, as figures, never the file. Crores of rupees of life insurance money go unclaimed in India every year because the family never knew a policy existed; how that happens and how to prevent it.
Does FinLens need my net banking password?
No. FinLens never asks for a net banking password, a card PIN or a CVV. It works from the statements and alerts you already receive, through a read-only Gmail connection or files you upload, and it cannot move money.
Which banks and cards does FinLens read?
Statements from Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, Jio Payments Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, State Bank of India, Union Bank of India have their own readers, as do credit card statements from American Express, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, SBI Card, Scapia. A statement from another bank or issuer is read with AI help, with names and numbers hidden first, and is imported only if its figures add up.
How is my data protected?
Every connection is encrypted, and the portal seals each request and reply again with a key only your browser and the server share. Everything we store is encrypted with AES-256, and every file is kept encrypted, never as a plain file; your uploaded files, identity numbers and statement passwords are encrypted once more under a key that belongs to your account alone, and accounts and cards are saved with only the last 4 digits of their numbers. The Security page lists every control.
Does FinLens use AI on my data?
Fixed rules read your mail and files first. A file the rules cannot read is read once by an AI model with your name and identifying numbers replaced by placeholders. The text of your e-mails never goes to a model; the one exception is a single masked sentence about a locked statement's password, when no rule opens the file. Questions you type to Ask FinLens go to an AI model without your account numbers, PAN or contact details. The Privacy Policy has every detail.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete any uploaded file, and from Profile → Privacy & Security download your data or erase your whole account.
