Every trip and PNR, found in your booking e-mails

Connect Gmail with read-only access and FinLens picks out your flight, train, bus, hotel and cab bookings from their confirmation e-mails, by fixed rules, and lists every trip in one place.

  • AES-256 encryption
  • No bank passwords, no payments
  • Two-step sign-in
  • Available in India only

What the Travel page shows

Travel gathers the bookings found in your own booking e-mails, organised by rules and never by a model. Five tiles count your Flight trips, Train trips, Bus trips, Hotel bookings and Cab bookings, and each tile filters the list to its kind. Tabs split Upcoming Trips, Past Trips and All Trips, and you can see them as cards, a table or a timeline.

Open a trip and a popup shows its legs, its fare, the e-mails behind it and how it was paid, with View / Download Ticket, Add to Calendar and View Original Email.

Why travel bookings are hard to keep track of

A single year of travel leaves confirmations from airlines, IRCTC, bus operators, hotels, cab apps and booking sites, each in its own format. When you need a PNR at the station or the time of a return flight, you search the inbox and hope the right mail comes up. Cancellations and refunds arrive as separate mails, and which card paid for which trip is anyone's guess.

FinLens reads those mails as they arrive and keeps each booking as one trip, updated when the plan changes.

Who a travel booking tracker helps

  • Frequent travellers who book through several airlines, railways and travel apps.
  • People who want every PNR and booking ID in one searchable list.
  • Anyone who wants to know which bank account or card paid for a trip.
  • Families who plan trips together and share them through Family.

What tracking trips from your e-mails gives you

Every booking in one list

Flights, trains, buses, hotel stays and cab rides from airlines, railways, bus and hotel services, cab apps and the travel agents that book them, searchable by PNR, airline, station or city.

Changes followed

A cancellation mail marks the trip Cancelled and keeps the refund if the mail prints one; a revised schedule updates the times. You can also mark a trip cancelled or confirmed yourself.

The payment behind each trip

FinLens looks for the debit of the same amount, to the paisa, from a day before the booking mail to four days after, and shows Payment matched with the bank and the card or account's last 4 digits. When two debits fit, it does not guess.

Ticket and calendar to hand

View / Download Ticket fetches the ticket PDF from your Gmail when you ask for it, and Add to Calendar gives you a calendar file for the journey.

PNR in one tap

Copy PNR or Copy booking ID from a trip's menu, ready to paste into the operator's site.

How FinLens finds your trips

  1. Connect Gmail

In Profile, under Accounts & Connections, tap Connect Gmail. FinLens asks Google for read-only access.

  2. The hourly check looks for bookings

From 06:00 to 23:00 IST, the mail check searches for booking mails from travel providers, and for any mail whose subject reads like a booking.

  3. Fixed rules read the booking

The rules pick out the type, provider, PNR or booking reference, route, dates and times, travellers and fare. No AI model reads your booking mails.

  4. One booking, one trip

Later mails about the same booking, found by its PNR or reference, update that trip instead of adding a new one.

  5. The payment is matched

The trip's amount is matched to the debit that paid for it among your transactions.

  6. Open Travel

Browse by tab, period, provider or status, or search. Settings, under Mail health, has Sync mail now to check the last two days at once.

What travel tracking needs from you

  • A Gmail account connected with read-only access. Travel has no upload and no form: trips come from booking mails only.
  • Your bank and card transactions in FinLens, if you want each trip matched to its payment.
  • Nothing to forward: forwarded copies of booking mails are skipped.

What FinLens reads from a booking e-mail

  • The type of booking, the provider and operator, the PNR or booking reference and the status.
  • Where from and where to, the departure and arrival dates and times, the flight or train number, the class, and the coach or seat where printed.
  • The travellers' names as the booking prints them, the number of travellers, the fare lines and the amount in rupees, and any refund.
  • For a hotel, the nights and rooms; for a cab, the distance, the time taken and how it was paid.
  • FinLens keeps these fields and each mail's subject; it never stores the body of the e-mail or the ticket PDF.

Limits of travel tracking from e-mail

  • Gmail must be connected. Trips cannot be uploaded or typed in.
  • The hourly check reads recent mail. Bookings from before you connected Gmail appear once FinLens's administrator runs a travel backfill.
  • A booking mail with no PNR or booking reference, or no journey date, is not read, and neither is a mail that carries the ticket only as an attachment.
  • Amounts are read only when shown in rupees, and calendar entries use India time.
  • FinLens sends no reminder before a journey, and the Travel page shows no spending totals.
  • A booking from a site whose mail layout has not been seen in a real mailbox may be missed.

Questions about travel in FinLens

Do I have to forward my tickets to FinLens?

No. Connect Gmail and FinLens finds booking mails itself; a copy you forward to yourself is not read.

Does an AI read my booking e-mails?

No. Fixed rules read them. Ask FinLens can answer where you travelled, using places, operators and dates, but never your names or PNRs.

Can I add a trip by hand?

No. Trips come only from booking e-mails in your connected Gmail. You can mark a trip cancelled or confirmed, or remove it.

Is my ticket stored in FinLens?

No. The ticket PDF stays in your Gmail; FinLens fetches it when you tap View / Download Ticket.

What happens when I cancel a booking?

When the cancellation mail arrives, the trip is marked Cancelled with the refund if the mail states one. Cancelled trips appear under All Trips.

Can my family see my trips?

Only if you switch on the Travel area in Family. Tickets open only for profiles a member keeps, never for another member's own account.
